Set within a museum destination in South Korea, this restaurant and café concept creates a close dialogue between architecture, landscape and the visitor experience. Rather than forming a single large building, the design is composed of a collection of smaller, human-scale volumes, each offering a distinct atmosphere and relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Nature is brought into the heart of the project through sheltered terraces, intimate gardens, water elements and carefully framed views towards the surrounding Gotjawal forest. The fragmented building form creates a rich sequence of indoor, outdoor and semi-open spaces, allowing visitors to move gradually between architecture and landscape.

The restaurant and café are envisioned not simply as an extension of the museum visit, but as a destination in their own right. Alongside spaces for coffee, dining and socialising, the concept includes more immersive experiences, such as a dedicated sensory tasting room and quiet spaces connected to gardens and forest views. The varying spaces accommodate different ways of spending time, from a brief pause after visiting the museum to meeting friends, working remotely or enjoying a more immersive tasting experience.
