Set within the wild landscapes of Lika, Heart of Lika is a new resort and village concept shaped by forests, meadows, mountain streams and the natural contours of the land. Located between Zagreb, Zadar and the Plitvice Lakes, the project draws its identity from the region’s strong connection to nature, local culture and traditions.

The masterplan is conceived as a collection of interconnected places rather than a conventional resort. Creek Suites follow the water, Forest Lodges immerse guests within the woodland, and Branded Residences form intimate hamlets within the landscape. At the centre, hospitality, wellness and dining spaces create a shared heart for the community, complemented by an equestrian centre, marketplace, cultural and educational spaces, event facilities and an extensive network of trails.

Architecture responds closely to the character and topography of each setting. Buildings gather as small hamlets, homesteads and village-like clusters, creating different degrees of privacy and community while allowing the landscape to remain the defining element. Movement through the site follows existing natural conditions, with paths and experience trails connecting forests, valleys, creeks and gathering places.

Designed as an all-season destination, Heart of Lika offers different ways of experiencing the landscape throughout the year, from hiking, horseback riding, cycling and foraging to wellness, gastronomy, cultural encounters and restorative time in nature.
