The six local competition winners of the Nordic Built Cities Challenge (NBCC) will be announced today the 16th of June in the Nordic Benchmarking forum in Korjaamo, Helsinki.

The NBCC includes six independent competitions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Faroe Islands, where six Nordic cities are looking for innovative and multidisciplinary solutions to urban challenges in their respective sites.

Studio Puisto and Hukkatila are proud to take part in the Finnish local competition placed in Kera, Espoo, and being one of the four finalist teams nominated to the second phase of the competition. The final competition for the overall Nordic winner of the local competitions combined will continue, and the results will be announced in the Nordic Built Cities Challenge Awards (NBCCA) later this year. As one of the finalist teams, Studio Puisto and Hukkatila will also take part in the final NBCCA competition.

Studio Puisto and Hukkatila have already gathered a sizeable network of Nordic collaborators during the two phases of the competition, and will continue to develop the close collaboration of like-minded partners in the near future. Our competition presentation includes innovative models for new ways of urban planning and development.
